Our Story

Fashion done the right way — slowly.

Monetta Collective is rooted in the belief that fashion should be intentional, expressive, and lasting. In a world that moves fast, we move with care—reimagining what clothing can be when it’s made with love, not urgency.

We work primarily with preloved garments—sourced from thrift shops, estate sales, and donations—transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate both form and story. These aren’t blank slates. They carry energy, wear, texture—and we honor that. Every cut, stitch, and alteration is a collaboration with what already exists.

In our 400 sq ft studio, garments are deconstructed, reconstructed, and given new life. We believe imperfections are an asset, not a flaw. They speak to where a piece has been and make room for where it can go next. Every design is an experiment in slowing down, paying attention, and creating something that matters.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond materials—it’s about mindset. We reject overproduction and fast trends. Instead, we focus on thoughtful design, small-batch drops, and timeless silhouettes. Every Monetta piece is made to be worn, re-worn, and lived in.

We see fashion as a tool for self-expression and as a way to connect with others. Whether you’re drawn to the story, the craft, or the statement, we hope you find something here that feels personal—and worth holding onto.

About the Owner

Hey there! I'm Kev, the Founder of Monetta Collective.

I grew up just outside of Cleveland, Ohio—a place where creativity and resourcefulness went hand-in-hand. The Midwest taught me how to make the most of what you have, to find beauty in the overlooked, and to create with intention.

When I moved to Northern Virginia, I was struck by the creative energy here—the way fashion, art, and community constantly overlap. Monetta Collective is my dream project come to life, shaped by everything I love: sustainability, storytelling, design, and connection.

Upcycling is where all those passions meet. It lets me take what’s been discarded and turn it into something bold, personal, and full of new meaning. Every piece I make is a small act of love—for the wearer, the craft, and the planet.

More than anything, I believe fashion is a conversation. Thanks for being part of mine.
