Boro-Inspired White Tee

This studio series tee starts with a vintage white cotton T-shirt, worn in naturally through time and left intentionally uncorrected to preserve its softness, minor distressing, and lived-in character. The front features a hand-sewn boro-inspired appliqué made from reclaimed denim scraps, arranged and stitched directly onto the shirt using visible mending techniques. Frayed edges, uneven stitchwork, and tonal variation are embraced as part of the design language, referencing traditional repair as a form of expression. Made in the U.S. using reclaimed fabric, this piece reflects a balance of restraint and texture—quiet at a distance, richly detailed up close.
